Volunteering for Accessibility: Ingrid Welch

Our Community Legal Outreach Clinics (CLOCS) continue to expand and bring legal aid to those without access. We assist with planning documents such as powers of attorney and living wills at Inglis House and Associated Services for the Blind.

Since 2005, LCD attorneys and attorneys from our partner firms meet at both sites for half a day to provide this crucial legal service to our clients. CLOCS, in addition to home visits are yet another way that we bring inclusion and accessibility to people with disabilities in the Philadelphia area.

One of these attorneys is Ingrid Welch, a partner at Cozen O’Connor.

As a volunteer attorney, Ms. Welch assisted LCD clients by preparing legal documents such as a living will and durable power of attorney. After the experience, Ms. Welch said, “I came away with a renewed appreciation for the challenges the disabled population in our community endure on a daily basis. It was rewarding to see the wonderful services LCD provides. I was honored to be a part of it and be of assistance.”
