LCD is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We are actively working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and in doing so aim to adhere to many of the available standards and guidelines.

WordPress, the platform our site is built on, aims to make their software and bundled themes fully WCAG 2.0 AA compliant where possible. All new and updated code released in WordPress conforms with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.0 at level AA as per the WordPress Accessibility Coding Standards.

Site development and updates are performed with the following WCAG principals in mind:

• Perceivable – The site and the information on is presented in a way that users can perceive through use of text alternatives, content that is easy to see and hear, and text resizing capability.
• Operable – The site and all of its navigation work under a variety of different circumstances through use of keyboard accessibility, time to read and navigate content, clear navigation, and content that will not induce a seizure.
• Understandable – The site, how its navigation works, and all of the information on it is understandable to site visitors through use of content that is readable, pages that behave as expected, and access to input assistance.
• Robust – The site features content that can be read and used by many different user agents, including assistive technologies.

Exceptions
Whilst LCD strives to adhere to the accepted guidelines and standards for accessibility and usability, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall accessibility.
