What is a Disability?
A disability may be cognitive, developmental, intellectual, mental, physical, sensory, chronic health, or a combination of multiple factors that impair, interfere with, or limit a person’s ability to engage in certain tasks or actions or participate in typical daily activities and interactions.
Examples of disabilities that LCD’s clients have include: cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, traumatic and acquired brain injuries, cancer, lupus, kidney disease, COPD, heart disease, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, HIV/AIDS, asthma, diabetes, mental health diagnoses, and more. Clients also include the deaf, hard of hearing, and clients who are blind or vision-impaired.
What is Considered Low-Income?
We determine your financial eligibility for our services based on the income information of every person in your household, using the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Please contact us so that we can help determine if you are eligible based upon your household income.
Residence
If you reside or have a legal matter in a county outside of the five Southeastern Pennsylvania counties, we can try to refer you to another provider but won’t be able to provide direct assistance.
