LCD partners with community centers, specialty housing programs, and service providers to host Community Legal Outreach Clinics (CLOCs) that bring essential legal services to low-income people with disabilities in community settings where they live and/or receive services.
LCD works with volunteers from area law firms and corporations to provide pro bono legal services such as planning documents clinics to draft wills and powers of attorney for clients. As a result of the CLOC, clients are able to leave with completed documents and/or paperwork to address and resolve their issues.
Our partner host organizations include Four Freedoms House, Parkway Central Library, Inglis House, and the Library of Accessible Media for Pennsylvanians, the Mann Older Adults Center, VisionLink (formerly Associated Services for the Blind), and our MLP sites. Pro bono volunteer legal staff come from area firms and organizations.
See our events calendar to learn about upcoming CLOCs.
We’re always looking for new partners. If your organization is interested in partnering with us either to host a CLOC for your clients/residents or to volunteer your time to provide pro bono legal services (training is provided), please contact us.
